Awesome place for dessert. My husband and I shared the praline gelato and a blondie brownie. The service was amazing and our desserts were so good.

I rarely write reviews for places unless it's bad. However, when I say I creamed my pants after biting into their strawberry mezzo crema. This place is the best bakery I've ever had. The employees were fast, friendly, and informative. Highly recommend.

Perhaps the best Spumoni this side of Venice These triangular log shaped desserts are so good. I drove from a luncheon in Covington to New Orleans to bring four full quarts back to Mississippi. After lunch in Covington, Cass, Short for Cassidy was so very helpful and the dry ice was just enough to get me Through this 3 Hour Return Dr. to Ridgeland

My #1 favorite ice cream/gelato/dessert spots in the entire city. My grandma has gone her whole life. So many gelatos to choose from and delicious, authentic Italian pastries and treats. The service is all women, friendly, and efficient. They typically have a long line (for good reason) and knock it out quickly. The atmosphere feels pre-iphone and simpler times lol. The chairs are not very comfortable and it is crowded, but personally I think it gives it a charm. It feels like it has so much life.

This place is a New Orleans institution. No matter the weather the place is packed. Prices are super reasonable. My go to is the gelato. Super creamy as good as in Italy. Just expect to wait in line.

Angelo Brocato is a 100yr New Orleans institution, and we came here on an evening where the rain was pouring down but it was still busy with cars dropping off folks in front. We had planned to go to Creole Creamery in Lakeview but their power went out. I hadnt been here in decades altho my mom used to take me here often when i was growing up. Big gelato selection with Italian pastries including their famous cannoli that stacks up well against anything we've had in New York's Little Italy. Everything is reasonably priced. It's what I like best about this place and all of New Orleans - everyone can eat incredibly well every day, in casual & neighborly places. No barriers of needing reservations, spending a lot of money, or needing to wait in long line as is common in bicoastal areas.

Classic. Absolutely perfect. Love love love the fresh cannoli and all the other little desserts I get to try. Everything is incredibly reasonably priced. I usually get a little shot of espresso also. I've gone here forever, brought by my grandma at the end of an evening spent together and now going with friends, so I have so much nostalgia in it. Service is super helpful. The line can get a little kooky, especially with tourists taking pictures and such. I try to go every time I'm home now though and will recommend it to anyone visiting. Parking around the corner is never difficult either.

Shout to Angelo Brocato for always having such delicious gelato! They currently have seasonal flavors going on and I most recently tried the Pumpkin Gelato which was great. They also had a peppermint holiday flavor that just started. The staff here are always so kind and there are also tons of other pastries and desserts to choose from in addition to their gelato including cannolis and desserts that you can buy as gifts to take back home.

Love this place! It's an old fashioned gelateria/pastry shop that has terrible parking and always a line but you deal with that because it's just SO GOOD! It's Christmas so of course they have all the Christmas goodies for sale too right now. The folks who take care of you are super sweet and all of the gelato and pastries are made there and are super high quality. Don't park at Smoothie parking, you will be towed. Park on the streets around the place so that you don't get towed!

Our second visit to this cute shop, last time it was a highlight of our trip. We got Gelato, mine was in the form of an affogato (Gelato topped with espresso and if desired, whipped ccream). My affogato was even better this time, I chose chocolate Gelato. So delicious. My boyfriend got stracciatella (Italian chocolate chip) Gelato. They were both delicious. We grabbed some pastries to go including a cannoli (filled fresh and adorned with pistachios) sfogliatella (flaky pastry filled with a creamy filling and citrus) and a strawberry Napoleon (new to me). The service is great, they carefully packed the box and brought the affogato out to the table as well. It's liked you've stepped back in time when you're inside. Cute little twisted metal ice cream parlor table and chairs. They also sell packaged Italian cookies and sweets to go.
